Linking Air Platforms to the Strike Asset

Once the user has added the air platforms and the VBS3Strike assets, each of the aircraft must be linked to the VBS3Strike assets. To do this, go to the 2D map view, hold down the left-shift key, click on the VBS3Strike asset, drag the mouse to one of the aircraft, and release the left mouse button. A green line will appear between the aircraft and the VBS3strike asset. These two are now linked.

Repeat this step for other aerial assets that are to be linked to the VBS3Strike assets.

Note:
VBS3 will not allow aircraft of different types to be linked to a single VBS3Strike Aircraft object. And, one aircraft cannot be linked to several aircraft objects. If a particular aircraft object is not linked to an aircraft, it will not be loaded into VBS3Strike.

Once all the aerial assets are linked, they will act as a cohesive air support callsign within VBS3Strike.

There are three steps to placing a VBS3Strike asset in VBS3. These are placing the individual aerial assets then placing the VBS3Strike Aircraft object, and finally linking the aerial asset to this object.
